Dr. Justin Karrel is 2010 graduate of Boston University Dental School. He completed a General Practice Residency in Bangor, Maine where he received additional training in endodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery. Following his residency, Dr. Karrel was asked to continue at the large public health facility. While treating patients as a staff dentist, Dr. Karrel served as a mentor to classes of residents, and as a preceptor of dental students on clinical rotations from Tufts University, University of North Carolina, and Boston University.
After 5 years in Maine, Dr. Karrel moved into a private practice office in Virginia. He owned a ran a private practice office focused on comprehensive dental care. His practice was focused on using treatments like Invisalign and implants to return patients’ oral health to proper form and function. After 8 years, Dr. Karrel (a native of Massachusetts) sold his practice to return to the Northeast to raise his children with his wife Ruth.
One of Dr. Karrel’s goals is to provide individualized, patient-centered care of the highest quality. He is always striving to be better and is constantly learning to provide comfortable, quality, modern care to his patients. Dr. Karrel is working toward his Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. He has taken continuing education with the Las Vegas Institute and the Spear Institute. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and American Dental Association.
